The problem
Long queues at hospitals, banks and government offices waste hours. Physical token systems are disorderly and give no visibility into wait times.
The solution
AlphaQ digitises queuing. Customers check in by web or QR code, see their position and estimated wait, and are called when it is their turn, all managed from an admin dashboard.
Technical approach
A Django and MySQL system using WebSockets for live queue positions. Customers check in on the web or by QR code, counters call tickets in priority order, and SMS and on-screen notifications say when it is a person's turn.
